Room w/2 Video Sources Print

This is a scenario where two video sources, and typically a TV, are in a room with a single coax wall plate. The goal is to get all of them on the Avcast network. The CableCaster replaces the splitter where Cable TV or antenna signals enter the home. A notch filter eliminates unwanted signals from the antenna or Cable TV service (you specify filter range). Each video source (DVD, VCR, etc.) in Room 1 can be added to the Avcast network with a MediaCaster, which takes the audio/video outputs of the video sources and modulates them to TV channels. The MediaCasters are set to "Personal TV Channels" at least two channels apart, say channel 70 and 72. Any TV tuned to channel 70 or 72 can view those video sources. Notice the two-way splitter/combiner in Room 1. This enables infrared signals to travel to each video source through each MediaCaster. The TV in Room 1 can be attached to the "TV" port of either MediaCaster; alternately, you can use a three-way splitter/combiner and attach the TV to the third leg. Room 4 has an IRCaster/IRDetector installed. This enables users to control the video sources with their infrared remote controls from Room 4. Additional MediaCasters and IRCasters can be added to the network (~8 video sources maximum).
